Visiting Assistant Professor of Music

Job Summary

Washington and Jefferson College seeks to fill a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in the Music Department with a dynamic, multi-talented musician whose responsibilities will include directing instrumental ensembles (Wind and Jazz) and teaching two courses in music technology that include beginning digital composition, live recording, and digital production using DAWs loaded with LogicPro and Sibelius. The successful candidate will have a Masters degree, doctorate preferred, in at least one of these areas with exceptional skills in the other areas. The position carries an expectation of service to the department, attending department and college faculty meetings, and maintaining equipment, college-owned instruments, and the band library.
